Why it's worth going: The atmosphere is always bustling and the Betty Boop decoration gives the place a classic diner feel. Comfort food, the signature Stella sandwich, and a staff who always keeps the coffee flowing makes this place Syracuse favorite.
Mom's Diner

Why it's worth going: With a location close to campus, Mom's has quality food and a DIY type of atmosphere. You order right at the counter and then pick your seat, ensuring you get your food as quick as possible. Check out their breakfast sandwiches with hashbrown inside.
The Gem
832 Spencer St. Syracuse
Why it's worth going: If you're looking for a solid breakfast option but don't want to wait in line at some of the more popular diners (looking at you Stella's), The Gem is a great choice. Their assortment of homemade cakes and pies is also seriously impressive, and the atmosphere is textbook diner.
Modern Malt
125 S. Clinton St, Syracuse
Why it's worth going: Different from the other's on this list, Modern Malt takes the typical diner fare and elevates and innovates it in some pretty interesting ways. Their milkshakes are to die for, and its a great choice if you're looking to try something new.
Mama Nancy's
510 State Fair Blvd., Syracuse
Why it's worth going: Open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, this is a diner actually located in a truck stop! People love it for their consistently good breakfast. Also outside of breakfast, their fish fry is raved about.
